Suitcase Structures
A hands on interactive exhibition that explores structures in both the natural world and the made world. The activities include:

Platonic Skeletons  Use a specially designed construction system to investigate the concept of triangulation.
Platonic Solids Exploration  Use Polydron to discover why there are only 5 regular solids and to create a variety of different structures.
The Octet Truss  Follow in the footsteps of Buckminster Fuller and develop the octet truss. This is a cluster of mathematical activities investigating sphere packing and 3D tessellations.
Truss Bridge Kit  Build a truss bridge (or any other structure) and put the concept of triangulation into practice.
Surface Structures – Polyhedral Animals
Insert fibreglass rods into the tent shapes to balance compression and tension forces to give structure and form.
Timber Frame House  - A specially designed construction kit incorporating the same joints and techniques used in Tudor house construction.
Minimal Surfaces – bubble film structures
Put together straws and connectors, dip into bath of bubble solution to create new surprising structures and surfaces.
