Science shows and demos
Each hands on session begins with a short show  on a topic of your choice which will include a number of demos appropriate to the audience. An important feature of all of the shows is to introduce a questioning process. Here are some example topics:

Forever blowing bubbles
Bubbles are used to explore the nature of light, colour and structure,  ( we also see some pretty big bubbles!)

Sounds like Science
The nature of sound is considered using a range of toys, instruments  and other materials. We also look at the necessary requirements for sound to travel

Materials
Investigate a range of different and similar materials, how to differentiate and classify materials, including materials in different states. Play with some unusual materials.

Forces
Demonstrations of different forces using some unusual toys as well as everyday objects like bicycle wheels

A Bit of Hover
Air pressure, the Bernoulli effect are explored to get an appreciation of why planes mange to stay up the air.
